Applying Ayres Sensory Integration In Telehealth
This module introduces the Telehealth model of service delivery focusing specifically on the therapeutic application of ASI theory and methods. Learners will be guided through a systematic and evidence-based approach to guide telehealth services. Strategies for adapting and conducting comprehensive and adapted standardized assessments including the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) and Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) are discussed.
The learner will also consider contextual and process elements of ASI theory to plan and guide intervention. Considerations for facilitating practice including family engagement during assessment and intervention are shared, as well as implications for future practice. Supplemental activities, discussions, and videos will be used to facilitate the learner’s competence.
